Ensure processes can be run safely by developing and implementing robust small molecule and peptide API process steps and control strategies from lab to manufacturing. After commercialization, drive continuous improvement, technical transfer to manufacturing sites, and resolution of technical manufacturing issues. Cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Regulatory, and on-site manufacturing personnel is essential.

Major Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and implement approaches using engineering scientific principles for lab, pilot, and commercial manufacturing.
- Resolve key project hurdles and assumptions using available information and technical expertise.
- Proactively incorporate new literature information into individual projects and the overall program.
- Pursue leads aligned with project team/group strategy.
- Maintain high productivity in lab and/or during transfer to and support of manufacturing facilities.
- Adhere to corporate standards for code of conduct, safety, handling of materials, controlled drug, and GxP compliance.
- Produce independent technical reports and documentation; use analytical instruments and may train others.
- May mentor/supervise one or more team members and guide/evaluate performance.
