Sr. Scientist/Engineer (Individual Contributor) focusing on Container Closure Integrity (CCI) analytical and technical contributions for packaging and medical device-combination product programs (late-stage development and global manufacturing).
Responsibilities:
- Characterize new package/device components to inform selection/optimization
- Develop, validate, and transfer CCI test methods (method transfer/lifecycle support)
- Provide in-depth technical support to resolve packaging and device CCI analytical and manufacturing investigations
- Develop and grow CCI analytical technologies/capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; communicate effectively (written/verbal)
Qualifications:
- Education: BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline (e.g., physical chemistry)
- Experience: BS/MS with 5+ years in pharma/biotech/medical devices (or PhD); familiarity/experience with CCI testing
- Preferred: Advanced proficiency in common CCI technologies (dye ingress, high voltage leak detection, vacuum/pressure decay, laser headspace, tracer gas); hands-on CCI method development/validation/troubleshooting; familiarity with USP and ISO-13485 and relevant standards
Skills (required): Analytical method development, analytical thinking, materials science, container closure integrity testing (CCIT), package testing, medical devices/combination products, method development
