Position Summary:
Senior Scientist in the Cell Therapy Molecular Immunobiology and Discovery team. Develop and validate technologies to efficiently generate potent CAR-T cells, focusing on molecular engineering and gene delivery capabilities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement studies for platform building and hypothesis-driven research to build next-generation lentiviral vectors.
- Use lentiviral vector biology to increase yield, throughput, and robust streamlined assessment of novel lentiviral vector platforms.
- Interface with immunologists to support science-driven decisions on T-cell activation pathways, antigen-specific differentiation, and CAR-T cell phenotype for different lentiviral vector cargo/delivery strategies.
- Interpret and synthesize complex datasets (published and internal).
- Provide scientific/technical insights on cross-functional evaluation of lentiviral vectors.
- Recommend department-level strategy; advise team members (especially junior colleagues).
- Design experiments, analyze results, and communicate progress to enable Go/No Go decisions.
- Enable adoption of novel methods/designs in ongoing programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree with 7+ years academic/industry experience; OR Masterβs degree with 5+ years; OR Ph.D. (or equivalent) with 2+ years.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Lentiviral vectors expertise for engineering T-cells.
- Functional assays (titration, multi-parameter flow cytometry, protein expression).
- In vitro T-cell functionality assays (e.g., MSD, IncuCyte cytolytic function assays, activation, proliferation, imaging).
- Project management, strong documentation, detail-oriented data interpretation/troubleshooting.
- Cross-functional collaboration; multitasking and independent time planning.
- Excellent communication/facilitation; ability to work fast-paced with changing priorities.
- Strategic supervisory experience and career guidance.
Compensation & Benefits (Seattle, WA):
- $136,030β$164,841 plus potential discretionary incentive cash/stock.
