Senior Project Manager will support development and commercial leadership in executing the strategic vision for a priority therapeutic program, ensuring alignment with PMO best practices and broader business strategies. Oversees cross-functional teams to plan and execute drug development initiatives; manages end-to-end a late-stage, high-priority program, driving timely delivery and quality outcomes. Collaborates with senior leadership on solutions, project strategies, budget management, and stakeholder alignment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage product development plan: activity planning, budgets, schedule adherence, resourcing, milestone reporting.
- Define project strategies and objectives with senior leadership for complex, multi-functional projects.
- Maintain SmartSheet for accurate scheduling, risk assessment, and team data integrity.
- Develop, maintain, and report project schedules and baselines via standardized dashboard reporting.
- Facilitate regular project update meetings; quantify cost/schedule changes for change management.
- Contribute to integrated teams in a matrixed organization; manage cross-functional reporting relationships.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks; maintain stakeholder communications and visibility.
- Serve as key internal contact; work with department leadership to ensure reporting is met.
- Independently manage complex, late-stage, high-priority programs; coach/review/delegate to team members or PMO staff.
Education:
- Bachelorβs degree in science/life sciences or equivalent experience.
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
Experience:
- 6+ years in pharmaceutical/drug development/biotechnology (Ph1βPh3 readiness/execution).
- 5+ years project management leading multiple concurrent projects across functions and development stages.
- 5+ years financial management (budgeting, tracking, forecasting, resource allocation).
- Proficient in at least two drug development functions (clinical operations, manufacturing development, regulatory affairs, or non-clinical development).
Skills/Competencies:
- Cross-functional leadership; ability to support and influence strategic direction.
- Advanced scheduling software knowledge; SmartSheet preferred.
- Ability to align project execution with business strategy.
