Role Summary
Senior Project Manager responsible for leading and managing large capital asset programs (typically $400MM USD or more) within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery organization, delivering assets from concept through operational verification with safety, cost, schedule, and quality in mind.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams (Lilly and Non-Lilly) to deliver large capital programs from front-end planning to operational qualification.
- Ensure asset capability or capacity with safety, cost, schedule, and quality assurance.
- Facilitate effective communication with GFD leadership, project teams, governance bodies, business partners, and stakeholders; resolve issues and manage scope changes.
- Apply a disciplined, compliant project management approach aligned with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for projects from conceptual design through operational verification.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical-related field (e.g., project management, construction management).
- Required: 10+ years of experience in capital project delivery in industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience; PMP and/or PE certifications; experience with GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction quality, project controls, and scheduling; Greenfield project experience; ability to work with minimal supervision and influence without direct authority; foreign language proficiency; experience living/work abroad.
