Operations
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) project plans for Product Presentation & Device Strategy Teams (PPDST) using standardized tools/processes.
- Provide advanced project management support to complex mixed/late-stage drug development and on-market LCM projects, including creation/maintenance of CMC technical plans (AMP), PPDST roster management, and timeline swimlanes.
- Lead PPDST team meetings (agenda, action items, driving discussions); ensure accountability to meet deliverables.
- Build multiple planning scenarios, identify/monitor/analyze business risks, recommend corrective actions to PPDST Co-Chairs.
- Ensure functions have appropriate tools/reports/data for accurate estimates.
- Support knowledge management for PPDST teams (e.g., SharePoint/Teams sites).
- Identify process improvement opportunities; lead cross-functional business process improvement initiatives and keep management informed of milestones.
- Apply project management principles to coordinate and complete goals; prioritize tasks effectively.
- Advise peer Project Managers/PPDST Co-Chairs on monthly plan issues and timelines.
- Use advanced tools for metrics collection and analysis; develop guidelines/checklists and novel solutions for data/process improvement.
- Serve as local expert for business procedures; provide training, presentations, guidance; mentor junior staff.
- Provide training support and guidance on project management practices/systems.
- Maintain strong internal/external networks; mediate disputes and facilitate high-performing teams; may manage Associate/Project Manager.
- Interact with all employee levels to coordinate projects and influence peer Program Managers.
- Define performance expectations and assess progress to determine effectiveness and improvement areas.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s in technical/scientific field + 8+ years in pharma/biotech; or Masterโ€™s + 6+ years; or Doctorate + 4+ years (higher education may substitute for experience).
- Highly preferred: accreditation in project management or process improvement (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
- Required: 2+ years project management experience, including leadership of a cross-functional team; knowledge of project management principles.
- Required: ability to work independently and represent sound strategies.
- Required leadership skills: strong written/interpersonal communication; ability to present/influence/justify proposals; sound judgment; negotiation/conflict management; cross-cultural communication; relationship building/teamwork; training experience.
- Required: knowledge of the drug development process.
- Preferred: cross-functional and global team leadership experience.
- Required: proficiency in project management/business excellence tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, QlikView, Spotfire).
- Preferred: CMC experience.
