Overview:
- Senior Project Manager (Philadelphia, PA) reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Shape project management processes/standards; mentor less experienced project managers.
- Align projects with organizational strategy by engaging senior leaders, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Identify/mitigate portfolio-level risks; develop risk management strategies across multiple projects.
- Build and maintain integrated cross-functional project plans.
- Lead complex cross-functional projects through initiation/feasibility, planning/design, execution, and closing.
- Manage timelines, budgets, deliverables, data analysis, and communication plans; escalate and apply countermeasures when needed.
- Track interdependencies, critical path, at-risk activities; remove barriers to meet goals.
- Establish and report portfolio/project progress to senior leadership via status/dashboard reporting.
- Coach the organization on project management concepts, best practices, and tools.
- Initiate process improvements; act as a change agent for continuous improvement.
Travel:
- May require travel based on business needs.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree in science, engineering, business, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years industry/supervisory experience; at least 8 years leading multiple complex projects in a matrix organization.
- Ability to apply predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches.
- Strong communication, influencing, change management, and people leadership skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, detail-oriented; works well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, and project management software.
Preferred:
- Manufacturing experience (biopharmaceutical and/or cell & gene therapy).
- Change management/agent training.
- Lean or Lean Six Sigma training/certification.
- Smartsheet proficiency.
