Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple highly complex discovery/translation research (DTR), CMC, Phase 1–3 clinical development, and NDA/BLA filings/approvals and/or post-approval programs; ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Develop and maintain integrated cross-functional project plans, Gantt charts/timelines, and status reports; manage dependencies/critical path, assess risks and opportunities, and drive execution.
- Track project resources/budget with Finance/team leadership; schedule governance approvals.
- Oversee risk management and contingency planning; proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Communicate with executive leadership and governance bodies; set agendas, facilitate meetings, write minutes, assign action items, and follow up.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes/best practices.
- Maintain awareness of scientific, regulatory, and commercial trends to adapt development strategies.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA STEM with 15+ years relevant experience OR MS/MA STEM/biological/pharmaceutical sciences with 13+ years OR PhD with 12+ years (or equivalent).
- 12–15 years managing cross-functional teams in biotech/pharma (including CMC, discovery, and/or development); managerial experience required.
- Preferred: small molecules/biologics in cancer immunology and/or oncology.
- Plus: experience with corporate partners/alliance management or business development/deals.
Required skills:
- Deep knowledge of full drug development process (oncology preferred); strong analytical, communication, leadership/influencing, organizational, and collaboration/negotiation skills.
- High proficiency: MS Office Suite, Planisware, MS Project (or equivalent).
