Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assessment/support for small-molecule drug substance API manufacturing (process knowledge, process/equipment support, process optimization, equipment capability/asset management).
- Perform impact/risk assessments for unit operations.
- Learn reactor lab/plant design including automation recipes/procedures.
- Support safety and compliance with company safety policies.
- Ensure equipment compliance with Quality System requirements, engineering standards, and cGMP.
- Assess rig fit for new processes via data package review and modeling/simulation and/or experiments to ensure acceptable heat/mass transfer at scale.
- Collaborate with HSE, QA, Tech Services, Development, Operations, FUME/C&Q, Automation, Maintenance, Environmental Monitoring, and Manufacturing.
- Author/review/approve technical reports and regulatory submissions; maintain records/technical notebooks.
- Identify quality issues and communicate appropriately.
- Develop/review project plans and timetables.

Basic Requirements:
- BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related engineering.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/chemical manufacturing/CMO or other relevant batch manufacturing.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Additional Preferences:
- Experience supporting API/intermediates/chemicals development or manufacturing.
- Unit operations knowledge (reactions, distillation, phase separation, filtration, drying).
- Software: DeltaV, Dynochem, Aspen, and/or electronic lab notebooks.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving; oral/written communication; process control understanding; ability to work independently and mentor others.
