Role: Senior platform engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Lilly's agentic resolution and AI automation platform within the Digital Core team. Objectives: enable scalable, reliable AI-driven operational automation, reduce manual toil, and improve platform availability and developer velocity. Responsibilities: architect and develop end-to-end agentic systems including intake, classification, action execution, verification, multi-agent orchestration, and human-in-the-loop fallback; define observability, security, and evaluation frameworks; build cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and major cloud AI services; implement CI/CD pipelines and monitoring; collaborate with reliability, security, and AI teams to embed automation at scale. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud-native automation, AI, or agentic system architecture; proven hands-on expertise with LLM application patterns, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and production AI tools (e.g., LangChain, SageMaker); strong Python development, CI/CD, and security implementation skills. Preferred: experience operating in regulated industries like life sciences, familiarity with FinOps, frontend skills for internal dashboards, and AI observability tooling. High-value: cloud-native AI automation, LLM application design, agent orchestration, regulated pharma environment, cross-functional collaboration, focus on reliability and security.
