Senior Prevention Specialist – HIV Prevention (San Bernardino/ Palm Springs)
Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales to consistently meet/exceed sales targets in the assigned geographic area.
- Establish relationships with healthcare practices to deliver disease awareness information, clinical education updates, and healthcare changes.
- Present and communicate complex clinical concepts at appropriate literacy/conceptual levels for diverse audiences.
- Meet and interact face-to-face with healthcare practitioners; understand geography-specific issues and opportunities.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Gilead and competitor products and disease-state complexities.
- Promote appropriate product use in accordance with Corporate/PhRMA/OIG guidelines; model compliance behavior and conduct.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan; monitor progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts and external expenditures (e.g., unrestricted educational grants, speaker events).
- Partner cross-functionally (Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, etc.) and co-promote with external partners when applicable.
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities; proactively communicate with marketing/sales management.
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety/Public Health per guidelines.
- Complete administrative duties (e.g., call activity/customer information reporting, expense submission).
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws/guidance related to product promotion and information dissemination.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School and 10 years’ experience; OR Associate’s and 8 years; OR Bachelor’s and 6 years; OR Master’s and 4 years.
Required:
- Travel within assigned area as needed; comply with any onsite visitation requirements for HCPs.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
- BA/BS; 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; superior selling skills; track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty markets); prior product launch experience.
