What You Will Do
Join an incredible team redefining Amgen’s patient support programs. Enable access to progressive therapies by removing barriers so patients can begin therapy faster.
- Understand and adhere to government regulations and company policies
- Verify patient benefits and assist with copay, prior authorization, and reimbursement issues
- Maintain positive rapport with patients and stakeholders
- Handle inbound/outbound calls from HCPs and patients; enter all appropriate data into the system
- Compile and analyze reimbursement trend data to support continuous improvement
- Work with commercial and government payors
- Interact with pharmacies to expedite a positive patient experience
What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Customer Service/Call Center experience
OR Associate’s degree and 6 years of Customer Service/Call Center experience
OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Customer Service/Call Center experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current HUB customer representative experience
- Experience in a regulatory environment; timely adverse event reporting
- Experience with both commercial and government payors
- Experience interacting with pharmacies
- Strong communication and collaborative relationship-building
- “Can do” attitude, follow-through, problem-solving
- Attention to detail; ability to prioritize
- Agility with multiple plan designs and call types
- General knowledge of accounting principles, pharmacy operations, and medical claims
- Claims coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) knowledge preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to identify trends/gaps in people, processes, and/or systems
