What You Will Do
- Take calls and outreach from healthcare professionals (HCPs); enter data into supporting systems to initiate enrollment of new and existing patients.
- Initiate benefits verification by reviewing patient data/insurance, identifying missing information, and following up to resolve gaps.
- Verify benefits for assigned cases; detail reimbursement requirements (copays, coinsurance, utilization management, qualifications/restrictions, prior authorization).
- Initiate subsequent actions as applicable (prior authorizations, appeals, travel and appointments).
- Monitor delays/pended cases; document lessons learned and leading practices to improve processing time/success.
- Support new initiatives/process improvements (e.g., end-user testing of new system features).
- Understand and adhere to government regulations and company policies.
- Maintain positive rapport through effective communication and active listening; remain agile across plan designs and call types.
Qualifications
Basic:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of related experience (healthcare administration, medical coding/billing, customer service, benefits verification support, etc.).
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Current HUB experience.
