Role Summary

Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, Respiratory Specialty Care position in Memphis, TN. Responsible for applying scientific capabilities to positively impact patient lives by educating healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, indications, and product safety to support on-label prescribing. Drives sales performance within the territory and collaborates with leadership to develop local strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth product and disease state knowledge; educate and engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles.
  • Operate independently with strong sales proficiency to meet or exceed forecasts and budgets; complete required training and product examinations.
  • Maintain knowledge of market, demographics, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Business Director and District Sales Manager to develop local strategy and business plan; drive measurable sales growth.
  • Leverage formulary approvals and Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional, personnel resources and analytical tools to maximize territory effectiveness.
  • Provide special education to healthcare providers within ethical guidelines; coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required: At least two years of documented, full-time, successful pharmaceutical sales OR 3 years of sales experience in scientific/clinical/healthcare environment OR demonstrated healthcare ecosystem knowledge
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Note for Internal applicants: Required to have met PSS Level (Level 2) at time of application

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry; clinical skills
  • Experience calling on Respiratory Specialists (e.g., pulmonologists, allergists)
  • Experience calling on health systems and large group practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capability
  • Results-oriented with time management skills
  • Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information
  • Respiratory sales experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (as listed under Required)
