Senior Payroll Analyst (Responsibilities)
- Oversee day-to-day payroll operations; independently run the full end-to-end payroll cycle for weekly and bi-weekly payrolls (2,400+ employees).
- Process multi-state payroll in payroll and timekeeping systems; reconcile payroll totals before and after each payroll run.
- Manage payroll workflow/exceptions; coordinate payroll approvals and escalations; meet deadlines.
- Manage off-cycle payrolls (bonuses, equity payments, adjustments, manual checks); issue stop-payments and reissue checks as needed.
- Monitor payroll email inbox and serve as escalation point for complex issues; collaborate with HR/Business Partners, Compensation Benefits, Finance, and other teams.
- Build and maintain ADP/UKG payroll reports using Excel; support workersβ compensation and regulatory reporting; assist with tax filings and year-end; provide UKG/time-processing support and training.
- Review/audit payroll work (timesheets/transactions), reconciliations, variances, and employee changes.
- Support internal/external audits (SOX controls/testing) with documentation/certifications; conduct pre- and post-payroll reviews; ensure payroll law and internal control compliance.
- Participate in payroll/ADP/UKG enhancements and process improvements; partner with Finance and HRIS on initiatives.
- Backup for other payroll staff and the Sr. Manager Payroll.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance/Business/Accounting (or related) OR equivalent hands-on payroll experience.
- 5+ years of payroll experience; may guide others.
- Advanced knowledge of ADP (WFN) Work Force Now payroll.
- Advanced working knowledge of UKG (Kronos) timekeeping.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Salary range: $90,000β$105,000/year; short-term incentive opportunity within first 12 months.
