Senior Payroll Analyst β Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day payroll operations; independently run weekly and bi-weekly payroll end-to-end for 2,400+ employees; process multi-state payroll; reconcile payroll totals before/after each run.
- Manage payroll workflow and exception processing; meet deadlines; coordinate approvals/escalations.
- Handle off-cycle payrolls (bonuses, equity, adjustments, manual checks); issue stop-payments and reissue checks.
- Monitor payroll inbox; escalate complex issues; collaborate with HR/Compensation Benefits/Finance and others to resolve payroll issues.
- Build/maintain payroll reports using ADP and UKG and Excel; support workersβ compensation and regulatory reporting; assist with tax filings and year-end; provide UKG/time-processing training/refresher.
- Review/audit timesheets and transactions; resolve reconciliations/variances; review employee changes.
- Support audits (SOX controls/testing); provide documentation/certifications; conduct pre-/post-payroll reviews; ensure compliance with payroll laws/internal controls.
- Participate in payroll/ADP/UKG enhancements and process improvements; partner with Finance/HRIS.
- Backup for other payroll staff and the Sr. Manager Payroll.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (Finance/Business/Accounting or related) OR equivalent hands-on payroll experience.
- 5+ years payroll experience; may guide others.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Advanced ADP (WFN) Work Force Now payroll processing.
- Advanced UKG (Kronos) timekeeping processing.
Compensation:
- $90,000β$105,000 annually; short-term incentive/bonus or performance-based award within first 12 months.
