Senior Patent Agent

Role: Senior Patent Agent supporting Foundation Medicine’s global patent portfolio in molecular diagnostics, bioinformatics, AI, and software-enabled healthcare technologies. Responsibilities: draft and prosecute patents in biotech and computational fields, conduct invention disclosures, assess patentability, support freedom-to-operate and validity analyses, collaborate with R&D, engineering, and legal teams, assist with IP due diligence, licensing, and litigation, and deliver IP training. Qualifications: B.S. in biotech, computer science, or related; 5+ years patent prosecution experience; USPTO-registered. Preferred: Ph.D./M.S. in relevant disciplines; experience with AI/ML, bioinformatics pipelines, healthcare software; strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills.
