Senior Patent Agent

Role: Senior Patent Agent focusing on patent development and prosecution for small molecule therapeutics in a cardiovascular biopharma setting. Responsibilities: prepare and prosecute patent applications, identify patentable innovations through collaboration with R&D teams, conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches, support IP diligence for licensing and collaboration, and advise on scientific disclosures. Requirements: registered Patent Agent (USPTO); bachelor’s in life sciences, preferably chemistry; 5+ years supporting pharma/biotech patent prosecution, especially small molecules; strong knowledge of U.S. patent law, experience partnering with scientists, and project management skills. Preferred: advanced degree in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry background; familiarity with AI-driven patent tools; biotech or pharma industry experience.
