Essential Functions (Senior Technician)
- Follow GMP and SOPs; adhere to safety and company policies while performing advanced lab services in manufacturing areas.
- Operate manufacturing equipment across the manufacturing cycle; perform manual/automated operations, maintenance/support.
- Solve complex production/operational problems.
- Organize your time (and may supervise others); read/write/understand technical information and communicate effectively.
- Perform advanced math calculations/conversions.
- Perform aseptic work (media prep, antigen inoculation/harvest, tissue culture prep/harvest, vaccine filling, etc.) and non-aseptic work (handling live poultry for tissue/waste processes).
- Execute decontamination/housekeeping; perform aseptic and sterile product-related tasks.
- Fill, label, cap, package, and inspect product; maintain concurrent records (charts/logbooks/documentation).
- Identify/address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations; manage hazardous waste (with proper training).
- Plan daily/weekly lab assignments and special projects; attend training.
- Train/mentor others; support safety/quality committees (if applicable); assist with weekly reports; participate as team leader/facilitator and ensure procedures are followed.
Required Education
- High school/GED + 2+ years lab/production experience; OR Associate degree (Science/Engineering) + 1+ year; OR Bachelor’s degree (Science/Engineering).
Required Experience/Qualifications
- Read/write/comprehend technical information; operate manufacturing equipment (with training).
- Attention to detail and strong documentation.
- Reading, math, and computer skills; communicate/work in manufacturing environment.
- Successful Physical Abilities Test.
Working Conditions
- Varying hours; may require rotating shift; overtime may be required; no travel.
