Senior Oncology Specialist
What You Will Do
- Serve as primary customer contact and liaison to medical professionals by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products.
- Communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Achieve territory sales by:
- Creating and executing a comprehensive territory plan (branded sales messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up for medical educational programs, achieving/exceeding sales targets).
- Using internal/external relationships to service/manage accounts (ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts).
- Crafting an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyzing sales/business effectiveness and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustaining passion for products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patient needs central.
- Partnering with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Applying oncology/disease-state awareness and monitoring industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results.
What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
- Bachelorโs degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field
OR
- Associate degree + 6 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field
OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Oncology
- 3+ years sales/marketing in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/medical devices
- Product/hospital sales experience in oncology and/or nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology/inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases
- Local market knowledge
- Bachelorโs in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Strong core competencies: planning/organizing; leveraging business/industry/technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal/external relationships
