Role Summary

Senior Oncology Specialist – Lung Cancer in New Orleans, LA. Territory includes the eastern side of Louisiana (Baton Rouge and New Orleans) and parts of Mississippi (Jackson, Gulf Port, Meridian). Relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing programs, coordinating medical educational events, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Service and manage accounts through internal and external relationships, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining contracts.
  • Craft marketing strategies to drive sales.
  • Analyze sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while strengthening the brand and serving patients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow as a Sr. Oncology Specialist.
  • Leverage oncology knowledge and awareness of disease states, industry/regulatory/competitive changes to deliver results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field OR Associate degree with 6 years OR High school diploma/GED with 8 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
  • Oncology experience.
  • Experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology/inflammation, or related areas.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Adaptability with core competencies: planning/organizing; knowledge; communication; results; relationships.
