Role Summary

Senior Oncology Account Specialist Prostate Cancer Fresno, CA. The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will promote Pfizer’s product portfolio to health care providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on the appropriate use of Pfizer products, and call on accounts to improve patients’ experience and the quality of patient care delivered. The SOAS increases Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking account/landscape assessment with an understanding of Pfizer’s products and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Promote broad portfolio of products; deep knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts.
  • Strategic account selling and management; develop territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives.
  • Maintain relationships throughout institutions; overcome obstacles to access difficult-to-see health care providers and customers.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders; build lasting relationships with priority customers.
  • Assess needs of target physicians/accounts; address needs with responsive approach and appropriate resources.
  • Engage, influence, and support customers throughout the selling process; communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership.
  • Learn and adapt to new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment; operate in a matrix environment leveraging multiple resources.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS degree or associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience. Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record; DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify.
  • Required: Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or Oncology healthcare professional experience with key oncology thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
  • Required: Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience; exceptional aptitude for learning and communicating technical and scientific information; strong business acumen.
  • Required: Proficiency with complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology model.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and key opinion leaders.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Deep knowledge of customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).

Education

  • BA/BS or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
