Role Summary

Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will promote Pfizer’s product portfolio to health care providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products, and call on accounts to improve patients’ experience and quality of care delivered. The role increases Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking account assessment with understanding of Pfizer’s products and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Promote broad portfolio of products; maintain knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products
  • Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts
  • Strategic account selling and management; develop territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives
  • Maintain relationships throughout institutions
  • Overcome obstacles to gain access to health care providers and customers
  • Cultivate relationships with KOLs; build lasting relationships with top priority customers
  • Assess needs of target physicians/accounts; address with responsive approach and appropriate resources
  • Engage, influence, and support customers throughout the selling process; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS from an accredited institution or an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
  • Required: Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or Oncology HCP experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers
  • Required: Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience
  • Required: Ability to learn and communicate technical and scientific product/disease management information
  • Required: Business acumen and proficiency with complex digital applications
  • Required: Ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology model and bring relevant information to market

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of oncology sales experience
  • Master’s Degree
  • Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders

Skills
