Role Summary
Senior Oncology Account Specialist Genitourinary Iowa/Quad Cities role focusing on promoting Pfizer’s product portfolio to health care providers and specialists, educating the healthcare community on appropriate product use, and engaging accounts to improve patient experience and care.
Responsibilities
- Promote broad portfolio of products; build knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
- Develop and manage strategic account plans; generate demand in assigned accounts.
- Call on accounts and organized customers; maintain relationships throughout institutions.
- Engage with key opinion leaders and top priority customers; cultivate lasting relationships.
- Assess needs of target physicians/accounts and address with responsive approaches and resources.
- Overcome access obstacles to difficult-to-reach health care providers and customers.
- Demonstrate superior selling, technical, and relationship-building skills; communicate effectively across teams.
- Adapt to changing environments and work in a matrix organization leveraging multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from an accredited institution, or associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards; DUI/DWI or impaired driving within the past 7 years disqualifies.
- Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 4 years of Oncology HCP experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
- Proven track record of success in sales or HCP roles; ability to learn quickly and communicate technical information effectively.
- Strong business acumen; proficient with complex digital applications and Pfizer technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Oncology sales experience.
- Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional degree.
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
- Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
- Strategic account selling and management; develop territory/account plans.

Education
