Role Summary
Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will promote Pfizer’s product portfolio to health care providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on appropriate product use, and call on accounts to improve patient experiences and overall quality of care. The role links account assessment with an understanding of Pfizer’s products and resources.
Responsibilities
- Promote broad portfolio of products; build strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
- Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts.
- Engage in strategic account selling and management; develop territory/account/customer plans to achieve objectives.
- Maintain relationships throughout institutions; overcome obstacles to access.
- Cultivate relationships with KOLs and top priority customers.
- Assess needs of target physicians/accounts and address with appropriate resources.
- Demonstrate superior selling, technical, and relationship-building skills.
- Engage, influence, and support customers throughout the selling process; communicate effectively and lead when appropriate.
- Adapt to new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment; operate in a matrix environment leveraging multiple resources.
Qualifications
- Required: BA/BS from an accredited institution or associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Required: Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record; DUI/DWI within past 7 years disqualifies.
- Required: Minimum of 4 years of Pharmaceutical Sales experience or Oncology HCP experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers.
- Required: Demonstrated track record of success in Pharmaceutical Sales or HCP experience.
- Required: Ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information to a wide range of customers.
- Required: Demonstrated business acumen and proficiency with complex digital applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience.
- Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional degree.
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
Skills
