Senior Oncology Account Manager - Washington D.C. / Northern VA

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Drive strategic execution across a complex territory or multi-state geography, delivering sustained commercial impact.
- Expand relationships with healthcare providers and influential stakeholders to further knowledge of Exelixis oncology therapies and ensure appropriate use.
- Leverage advanced analytics and market insights to refine territory strategy and influence internal planning.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver coordinated solutions addressing clinical, operational, and access challenges.
- Represent field perspectives in brand planning and contribute to tactical innovation.
- Identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and unmet needs within the territory.
- Model excellence in compliance, professionalism, and ethical engagement.
- Lead strategic pull-through initiatives with access and reimbursement teams.
- Serve as a field-based ambassador for new product launches, pilots, and strategic initiatives.
- Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, integrated delivery networks, and institutional decision-makers.
- Support regional leadership in business planning, training, and performance calibration.
- Mentor and resource junior team members; share best practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Knowledge & Skills
- BS/BA related discipline + 9 years related experience; or Masterβs related discipline + 7 years; or equivalent combination.
- Minimum 5 years oncology sales experience; launch experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Relationship management, customer focus, teamwork, communication, influence/persuasion.
- Ability to persuade by presenting complex clinical information.
- Strong business planning; ability to work independently.
Compensation/Benefits
- Base pay range: $198,000β$253,500 annually.
- Benefits include 401(k) with company contributions, medical/dental/vision, life/disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, discretionary annual bonus or sales-based incentive plan, stock purchase, paid vacation/holidays, and sick days.
Work Schedule/Travel
- Up to 50% travel time.
