Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic engagement with national and large regional commercial PBMs and payers.
- Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers across payer organizations.
- Analyze competitive landscape and coverage policies to anticipate payer needs and barriers.
- Profile key payer accounts and execute engagement plans to educate stakeholders on unmet need, science, disease burden, and value proposition.
- Identify and address potential barriers to access to support formulary and P&T reviews.
- Identify competitive threats and develop strategies to ensure optimal coverage.
- Lead pull-through and push-through initiatives for formulary wins and access challenges.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop payer-facing materials (e.g., evidence dossiers, PIE presentations, budget impact models).
- If required, identify, shape, and lead innovative contracting opportunities.
- Serve as internal payer voice; advise senior leadership on coverage risks/opportunities.
- Ensure engagements and materials comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.

Qualifications:
- Proven track record managing national commercial payer accounts and contract negotiations (pre-launch/launch readiness).
- Established relationships with PBM, GPO, and payer decision-makers (ideally Optum/United).
- Strong grasp of payer decision-making, formulary management, medical policy development, and specialty pharmacy.
- Thrives in early-stage/launch environments; agile and strategic.
- Excellent communicator; conveys complex scientific/economic data to non-scientific audiences.
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Comfortable in ambiguity; bias for action and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/graduate degree preferred.
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech market access, field-based payer account management, or managed markets strategy.

US Salary Range:
- $240,000 - $265,000.
