Position Summary
The Senior Molecular Technologist – Solid Tumor performs high-complexity molecular techniques including nucleic acid extractions and next generation sequencing (NGS). Serves as a senior technical expert and resource in the molecular lab, leading troubleshooting and method validation, and assisting with training.

Job Responsibilities
- Follow laboratory SOPs and specimen handling/processing procedures.
- Perform molecular techniques: nucleic acid extraction; quantification/normalization; PCR; DNA methylation analysis; and NGS.
- Operate/maintain liquid handling robots.
- Perform/oversee complex testing and advanced troubleshooting.
- Maintain clinical processing equipment via routine maintenance; perform instrument maintenance and procedural calibrations.
- Lead training and mentorship.
- Prepare CAPA documents for nonconformance events.
- Conduct proficiency testing and submit results.
- Collaborate with Quality and R&D to validate/implement new methods/technologies/equipment.
- Use LIMS to record day-to-day tasks.
- Represent the department in audits, investigations, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Correct issues affecting test performance or immediately notify leadership; document deviations and corrective actions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological/clinical/medical laboratory science or medical technology (accredited).
- 10 years relevant molecular laboratory experience.
- Mastery of molecular assay operations and QC systems.
- Proven ability to lead others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and skilled in operating office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (as above).
- Clinical laboratory experience.
- High autonomy/professionalism; strong analytical judgment.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, collaborative.
- Mastery of lab safety and quality control procedures.
