Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – New York City Region & Long Island

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals within assigned region
- Serve as primary point of contact for field medical and scientific inquiries
- Act as subject matter expert at key medical/scientific conferences, advisory boards, roundtables, clinical investigator meetings, speaker training, and internal meetings
- Lead and/or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics
- Identify and engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate providers on clinical/scientific data, outcomes, and economic data
- Deliver scientific presentations and training to diverse HCP audiences
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams
- Support clinical trial site activities and identify/advocate for investigator-sponsored trial research opportunities
- Support CME requests/activities via unsolicited grants
- Support field medical congress activities and attend relevant meetings to gather competitive intelligence and report on educational sessions
- Gather, analyze, and communicate actionable field insights to inform strategy and patient management trends
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to share field insights with Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, and other stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulations; document field activities per company/regulatory requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
- 5+ years current MSL experience at a biotech or pharmaceutical company (Senior MSL)
- Cardiology/Renal/Metabolic experience preferred
- 5+ years clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research (plus)
- Experience with medically related field including post-doctoral training (residencies/fellowships)
- Experience across all phases of KOL development and HCP engagement, including drug launches
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and delivering measurable scientific insights
- Strong verbal and written communication; peer-to-peer collaboration

Location/Travel:
- Within driving distance of a major international airport; ~50–70% travel
- Valid US driver’s license; ability to travel without restrictions
