Senior Medical Science Liaison (West)

Role: Regional Medical Science Director (MSL) supporting Summit’s oncology portfolio, primarily in Immuno-Oncology, with a focus on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and colorectal cancer (CRC). The role involves advancing scientific and clinical engagement within a specified geographic region (CA, OR, WA, ID, MT), aligning with Summit’s clinical development and research objectives. Responsibilities include developing high-impact territory plans, supporting clinical trial activities (site evaluation, investigator engagement, investigator-sponsored trials), and building relationships with healthcare professionals and experts in the field. The MSL educates on disease states, therapeutic options, and Summit’s investigational therapies, monitoring market trends, and contributing insights from scientific meetings. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in medical affairs activities are key. Qualifications: Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or significant oncology industry experience; minimum of 5+ years’ experience in solid tumor cancers, with at least 2+ years as an MSL. Preferred expertise in GI, bladder, or renal cancers; strong scientific communication skills; proven relationship-building with healthcare professionals; and experience in oncology clinical trials. Must be willing to travel up to 75%. Technical skills include proficiency in MS Office and database systems. The position offers a salary range of $200,000–$235,000 USD, with potential bonuses and benefits, and requires credentialing to access healthcare facilities. This is a field-based role with a focus on advancing clinical science and fostering external scientific relationships in oncology.
