(Senior) Medical Science Liaison, Rare Disease - DE, MD, Washington DC, VA, WV, NC

Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Rare Diseases, supporting US Medical Affairs in the DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, and NC territories. Primary objectives include establishing credible scientific expertise, engaging Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and healthcare professionals to enhance understanding of Biogen’s therapies, and building long-term, strategic relationships for patient benefit. Responsibilities involve delivering medical insights, supporting medical projects aligned with US Medical strategy, and reporting KME/HCP engagement metrics via Veeva. Requirements include an advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP), field MSL experience, and residence within the specified territory. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication, digital proficiency, accountability, and be able to travel at least 60%, including overnight trips. Preferred qualifications include clinical experience in Rare Diseases such as ALS, Friedreich Ataxia, or SMA. The role is management level with a focus on scientific leadership in neurology and rare diseases.
