(Senior) Medical Science Liaison - North Central (IL, MI, IN)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the territory, including mapping key accounts and planning impactful medical engagements aligned with medical objectives.
- Cultivate partnerships with academic centers, centers of excellence, and integrated care systems to drive regional impact.
- Deliver medical education, updates, and insights-gathering with U.S. healthcare professionals (HCPs) as part of BioNTechβs US field-based scientific/medical expert team.
- Develop partnerships with investigators, thought leaders, and healthcare professionals through scientific, evidence-based communication and education.
- Support and identify U.S. clinical trial sites and opportunities aligned with the overall oncology strategy.
- Document and communicate actionable insights collected in the field to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Provide input, support and/or attend prioritized oncology conferences, medical educational programs, advisory boards, and trainings.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of interactions and compliance/safety reporting aligned with local policies.
Key Requirements:
- Advanced scientific degree required (PharmD, MD/DO, or PhD preferred) with 3-5+ years of oncology MSL or comparable customer-facing industry/clinical experience.
- Working therapeutic knowledge of gynecologic malignancies/breast cancer, with an established HCP/external expert network.
- Preferred locations: Chicago, Detroit, or Indianapolis.
- External customer focus; strong networking capabilities with the medical/scientific community.
- Excellent collaboration, networking, presentation, and communication; proven cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt priorities; strong understanding of clinical trials/protocols and drug development lifecycle management.
- Commitment to ethical standards; knowledge of clinical regulations, including GCP and the PhRMA Code.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office 365).
- Ability and willingness for frequent travel/driving within territory (50β70%).
