How you will contribute:
- Analyze, interpret, and disseminate scientific data; acquire and translate customer insights; foster external expert networks; connect customers compliantly to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans aligned to medical strategy (externally-focused KOL/HCP activities = minimum 80% of responsibilities).
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas/products and competitor landscape; present complex scientific information in a compliant, fair-balanced, non-misleading manner.
- Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research.
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to refine medical strategies/tactics.
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
- Execute medical strategy at medical conferences and communicate insights from poster/session attendance and KOL/HCP interactions.
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries (referred by Medical Information) within timelines and quality standards.
- Complete required customer activity documentation, training, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities timely, accurately, and compliantly.
Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- Masterโs degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) minimum.
- Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
- 2+ years field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration.
Other desired experience/skills:
- Dissemination of complex scientific data; relevant therapeutic area expertise.
- Clinical, research, and/or teaching experience.
- Ability to work in virtual and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to execute within legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
Travel requirements:
- Up to 70% travel (including some overnight/weekend); drive/fly to meetings.
- Clean and valid driverโs license.
Territory:
- Upstate NY, CT, VT, NH, ME; must reside in territory.
Benefits/compensation (as stated):
- Base salary range: $151,100.00โ$237,490.00.
