Senior Medical Science Liaison – Cell Therapy (Midwestern US)

Role: Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Cell Therapy focusing on multiple myeloma, serving as the local medical voice for AstraZeneca's cell therapy assets in the Midwestern US. Primary objectives include establishing scientific relationships with hematology/thought leaders, supporting medical education on CAR-T therapies, and fostering collaborative research initiatives. Responsibilities encompass engaging with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, providing scientific support and education regarding disease state, therapy mechanisms, safety, and clinical management, and facilitating the implementation of cell therapy in infusion centers. The role involves gathering insights to inform medical strategies, addressing unmet needs, and representing Medical Affairs at scientific meetings. Requirements: Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, PA, NP); 5+ years' experience in hematology/oncology, with at least 2 years in scientific engagement or field medical roles; experience supporting product launch and working in matrixed environments; willingness to travel 40-60% domestically. Preferred qualifications include oncology/hematology specialization, direct expertise in cell therapy and multiple myeloma, and familiarity with FDA and GMP regulations. The territory includes Chicago and Kansas City, with residence within these areas required.
