Senior Medical Director, US Medical Affairs – TTR

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end US evidence generation strategy and execution aligned to global medical/enterprise priorities.
- Identify/prioritize US evidence gaps and translate into actionable study plans.
- Drive RWE, observational studies, registries, and database analyses (e.g., EHR, claims).
- Manage study lifecycle from concept/protocol/governance through execution, analysis, and dissemination.
- Lead Health Systems evidence generation (outcomes, utilization, system-level impact) and integrate into broader US/global evidence strategies.
- Provide strategic/scientific oversight of US IIS/IIT portfolio; evaluate/prioritize/govern proposals; partner with investigators on hypothesis-driven research; ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Serve as US Medical Affairs lead for publications: align with Global Medical Affairs, execute US-led abstracts/posters/manuscripts, conduct medical review for accuracy/compliance, and integrate clinical/RWE/HEOR data.
- Provide VEST leadership as primary US medical lead and connector to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Directly manage and develop an Associate Director; provide direction, prioritization, coaching, and foster accountability/collaboration.
- Lead cross-functional and external engagement (KOLs, academics, meetings) and support field medical teams.

Qualifications
- MD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant scientific/clinical discipline.
- 8–12+ years in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading evidence generation (RWE, IIS/IIT) and supporting publications.
- Prior people management experience preferred; experience in rare disease/cardiovascular/related areas preferred.
- Strong ownership, RWE/study design/health systems evidence expertise, cross-functional leadership in matrixed/global environments, strong communication/executive presence, and high integrity/compliance commitment.
