Senior Medical Director/Scientific Director, US Medical Affairs - Rheumatology

Role: Senior Medical Director/Scientific Director in Medical Affairs for AbbVie's Rheumatology SpA therapeutic area, focusing on clinical and scientific strategy, data generation, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities: oversee clinical study design, analysis, interpretation, and regulatory reporting; lead medical affairs-led clinical studies, monitor study integrity, and communicate safety and efficacy data; provide clinical expertise and scientific input into development plans and marketing materials; collaborate with cross-functional teams including commercial, discovery, and regulatory units; and ensure compliance with budgets, timelines, and regulatory standards. Requirements: PhD or PharmD with 7-10 years in Medical Affairs, including global experience preferred; 10-15 years in pharma or related industry; at least 4 years managing clinical trials, with strong knowledge of trial methodology, data analysis, and regulatory procedures. Preferred: extensive experience in immunology or rheumatology, leadership in cross-functional global teams, and excellent communication skills.
