Senior Medical Director/Scientific Director, US Medical Affairs-Rheumatology

Role: Senior Medical Director/Scientific Director in Medical Affairs for AbbVie's Rheumatology SpA Therapeutic Area, providing strategic and operational medical/scientific input to support portfolio development and lifecycle management. Responsibilities: lead clinical and scientific data generation, oversee clinical study design, analysis, and reporting; ensure safety monitoring and risk minimization; develop medical education and scientific communications; collaborate with commercial teams on brand strategy, promotional materials, and market access; participate in regulatory discussions and support medical research activities. Requirements: PhD or PharmD with 7-10 years in Medical Affairs, including global experience; 10-15 years pharma industry background with substantial therapeutic area expertise; minimum 4 years managing clinical trials independently; strong knowledge of trial methodology, data interpretation, and regulatory standards; proven leadership in cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills.
