Position Summary
The Senior Technician is a highly skilled technical expert supporting complex laboratory operations, driving process improvements, ensuring high-quality manufacturing outcomes, serving as an SME in equipment/workflows, and contributing to cross-functional projects. Mentors junior team members and supports daily coordination when needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement using SOPs, laboratory processes, and technical methods.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex equipment functionality issues.
- Act as SME for workflows/manufacturing processes; mentor less experienced team members.
- Coordinate daily task assignments when the team lead is absent (as needed).
- Identify and implement lab enhancements to improve efficiency/accuracy/operations.
- Manufacture complex/high-difficulty items with consistent quality and accuracy.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize to ensure weekly production schedule completion (may add responsibilities during surges).
- Maintain expert-level equipment/instrumentation knowledge.
- Perform complex quality assurance: onboarding support, equipment validation, SOP revisions, and RMS documentation.
- Collaborate on high-impact/technically complex projects; may lead moderate-complexity projects.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent + 4+ years relevant experience; or associate degree + 2–4 years (bachelor’s preferred).

Knowledge/Skills
- Biotech lab practices (pipetting, weighing, pH measurement, mixing, spectrophotometry).
- Basic scientific calculations/statistics.
- Documentation/record-keeping; SOP adherence.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving; strong organization and attention to detail.
- Learn new techniques/equipment quickly; effective verbal/written communication.
- Plan/prioritize/manage multiple tasks; work independently and collaboratively.
