Role Summary
Senior Manager, US Market Access Data Enablement responsible for governing, cataloguing, acquiring, and preparing data assets to support analytics across Vertex USMA's pipeline, launch, and in-line assets. Serves as an SME in data enablement, quality, and readiness within the Data & Analytics COE.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to map business data needs related to Access Strategy, Pricing & Contracting, Trade & Distribution Operations, and Payer Field Teams to data sources and data products.
- Assess and document data requirements for new product launches, pipeline programs, and in-line brands, ensuring timely availability and usability of high-quality data.
- Partner with internal and external teams to validate and onboard third-party and internal data sources, including Model N, Integrichain 852/867, MMIT, IQVIA LAAD/DDD/Xponent, and acquire additional data as needed.
- Own the implementation and continuous improvement of data governance processes, ensuring regulatory, legal, and ethical compliance including data privacy and access control (HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Maintain a data catalog and metadata for market access data domains to promote discoverability and lineage tracking.
- Establish and monitor data quality KPIs and oversee issue resolution workflows across critical datasets.
- Collaborate with DTE, Commercial Operations, and PACM to develop scalable data access, harmonization, and integration processes.
- Provide SME on data stewardship practices for cross-functional market access stakeholders.
- Leverage Snowflake to extract, transform, and load large datasets across payer accounts, pricing, distribution, and field operations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Market Access Strategy, PACM, Commercial Analytics, and Trade teams to align analytics with key business decisions (~30% of time).
- Communicate Data Readiness and Maturity through executive presentations and storytelling for Director and VP audiences.
- Serve as SME to support analytics using key data sets (Model N, Integrichain 852/867, MMIT, IQVIA LAAD, DDD, Xponent).
- Support evolution of D&A tools and capabilities enabling scalable insights, automation, and advanced analytics across Market Access.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, Economics).
- Required: 6+ years in pharmaceuticals/biotech or consulting with direct focus on Market Access analytics.
- Required: Hands-on experience with Model N, MMIT, Integrichain 852/867, IQVIA LAAD/DDD/Xponent.
- Required: Proven experience in data governance, policy development, access controls, regulatory compliance, and ethical data handling in life sciences.
- Required: Experience in data cataloging, metadata management, and data quality monitoring tools.
- Required: Strong communication skills and experience presenting to cross-functional stakeholders.
