Technical Services Senior Manager
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide senior technical leadership for Technology Transfer, product/process improvements, primary packaging components, MDCPs, and data analytics; ensure robust, compliant, reliable commercial supply.
- Serve as site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product processes, statistical process monitoring, and primary packaging systems; partner cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and investigation excellence.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientists and engineers; set technical direction, prioritize work, allocate resources, and manage performance.
- Own product technology transfers and product/process improvements; review/approve scientific technical reports using black belt tools.
- Provide technical ownership for primary packaging components (vials, stoppers, seals, syringes, cartridges), including qualifications, SCNs/SCARs, deviations, investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical leadership for delivery devices/combination products; lead discrepancy resolution with RCAs and CAPA for device failures; support verification, risk assessments, mitigations, and risk management plans.
- Lead statistical trending/monitoring of CQAs, CPPs, visual inspection, and defect data; apply statistical tools to identify trends, support hypotheses, and evaluate CAPA effectiveness; communicate findings.
- Develop experimental protocols, execute studies, analyze data, and author technical reports; support new starts and audit readiness/regulatory inspections.
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelorโs + 6 years OR Masterโs + 5 years OR PhD + 1+ year.
Preferred:
- FDA/global regulatory knowledge for analytical methods/qualification/validation of parenteral products and container closure systems.
- Strong RCA and CAPA; cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
- AI tool experience (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and responsible AI curiosity.
- Background in technology transfer, statistical analysis/defect trending, primary packaging components; experience with MDCPs, component qualification, change management, validation/qualification, and regulatory filings.
