Responsibilities:
- Own quarterly and annual income tax provision process under ASC 740 (calculations, review, documentation, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures).
- Prepare/review federal, state, local, and foreign income and franchise tax returns (estimates, extensions, related filings).
- Support and/or manage IRS and state income/franchise tax notices, audits, and information requests.
- Provide technical tax research support.
- Prepare tax account forecasts and monthly accruals.
- Lead assigned tax projects from planning through execution; identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Assist in developing and mentoring Tax team members.
- Perform ad hoc/special projects (e.g., Section 382 study, credit study).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Highly organized; strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter; able to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; flexible with geographic time zones.
- Strong prioritization, deadline management, analytical and written/verbal communication skills; escalate issues when needed.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup).
- May require work outside normal hours to meet business demands.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses:
- 7β9 years recent US corporate income tax experience (Big Four and multinational experience); ASC 740 required; Big 4 preferred.
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Business (or equivalent education/experience).
- CPA preferred.
