Job Responsibilities and Requirements
- Plan, design, implement, and support existing and new Jazz Pharmaceuticals information security stack.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering and operations documentation.
- Mentor Security Engineering and Operation Teams to support network and security infrastructure.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to maintain a security posture aligned to business objectives.
- Direct deployment and/or upgrades of security technologies and enhancements.
- Assess and evaluate cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and other risks.
- Monitor external event sources for emerging threats; help architects/engineers implement controls.
- Analyze attack vectors, attack surfaces, and detection-avoidance tactics.
- Monitor incoming event queues for potential incidents; identify and respond to anomalous activity.
- Continuously improve security posture across endpoints, network, applications, and servers.
- Drive automation and orchestration for security monitoring and response.
- Provide hands-on security consulting for design, development, implementation, and testing of new security technologies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in security operations, orchestration, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
- Strong SIEM experience (e.g., Splunk, Gurucul); develop/maintain SIEM infrastructure, ingestion, and performance/support.
- Incident investigation and forensic analysis experience.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and common TTPs.
- Hands-on expertise in at least two: Cloud Security, IAM, Network Security, Email Security, DLP.
- Strong EDR knowledge (e.g., CrowdStrike).
- Hands-on AWS and Google Cloud Platform experience.
- Security automation using Python/PowerShell/Bash or orchestration workflows.
- Experience with SaaS/cloud environments (e.g., Salesforce, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix OS artifacts.
- Ability to follow security/compliance standards; knowledge of GDPR/PII/PHI/GxP.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; work independently; lead via influence/collaboration.
- Vendor relationship management skills.
- Flexibility for US/EST or US/PST and after-hours/on-call support.
Additional Valuable Skills and Certifications
- 7+ years IT Security experience and 2+ relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, GCIH, GPEN, GWAPT).
- Expert experience with security controls (e.g., AWS/Azure, Web Proxy, IAM/SSO, Active Directory, PAM, App Control, Endpoint Security, DLP, PKI, Key management, Salesforce Shield).
