Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Role: Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at IDEAYA Biosciences, focused on external financial reporting, technical accounting, and compliance activities. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), managing the quarterly and annual reporting calendar, analyzing complex accounting transactions, supporting SOX compliance, and overseeing equity accounting and disclosures. The role entails liaising with external auditors, developing scalable reporting processes, and providing technical guidance on U.S. GAAP standards, with an emphasis on biotech-specific areas such as stock-based compensation, equity transactions, and significant transactions. Requirements: CPA license, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including public company exposure, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and experience with SEC reporting and complex accounting topics; biotech or life sciences experience preferred. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite and SEC reporting tools a plus.
