Role Summary
Senior Manager, Sales Learning & Development - Oncology (Remote) responsible for partnering cross-functionally to develop and execute L&D strategy and tactics in support of the oncology franchise, with primary focus on Hematology and Neuro Oncology Business Units. Reports to the Director, Oncology Learning & Development. Foster a high-performance culture by designing and delivering impactful learning experiences to elevate individual and team capabilities and drive accountability across the field force.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes Hematology and Neuro Oncology learning strategy for commercial field sales in collaboration with Jazz sales and marketing leadership.
- Determines and recommends effective approaches to meet product and clinical acumen learning needs, including launch, onboarding, reinforcement, and sustainability training.
- Designs and implements annual Sales & Clinical Learning & Development strategy, goals, and objectives aligned to Brand Strategy and BU needs, working with Sales Leadership.
- Applies advanced instructional design and adult learning principles to content delivery.
- Leverages and shares best practices across brands/products.
- Acts as a strategic business partner to cross-functional partners.
- Performs detailed needs assessments (gap analysis) with Sales Leadership, US L&D, Marketing, and other teams to elevate learner skills.
- Translates business needs into learning products/programs and enhances clinical and business acumen.
- Facilitates onboarding, core, and advanced training classes for in-person and virtual delivery.
- Collaborates with Instructional Designer to implement metrics measuring training impact and effectiveness; adapts programs based on insights.
- Distributes relevant educational resources while adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, Medical, Compliance) to ensure consistency of learning programs.
- Provides leadership and consults to BU Leadership in long-range planning, brand planning, and product launches.
- Manages vendor projects, relationships, budgets, and forecasting.
- Models ethics and compliance in all activities.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in specialty pharmaceutical/biotech, preferably in sales, L&D, or marketing.
- L&D or teaching experience with adult learning principles; experience with distance learning and LMS.
- Active LTEN and/or ATD membership preferred.
- Oncology experience required; sales training launch experience preferred.
- Prior oncology clinical experience (nursing, pharmacy, NP, PA-C) highly preferred.
- Strong collaboration, adaptability in change-driven environments; ability to deliver clinical acumen programs using adult learning principles.
- Skills in needs assessment, facilitation, prioritization, decision-making, collaboration, virtual delivery, planning, and digital literacy.
- Ability to travel up to 30% within the US.
Education
- Bachelorโs degree required.
- MBA or Masterโs/Education degrees preferred; advanced degree preferred.
