Role: Lead robotics and automation strategy development for AbbVie's manufacturing sites, focusing on deploying scalable robotic, vision, and physical AI technologies aligned with the Factory of the Future vision. Responsibilities: develop site-specific and overarching technology roadmaps, identify and incubate emerging automation innovations, facilitate cross-functional workshops, and support technology scale-up from pilots to sustained operations. Provide technical expertise in robotics and vision systems, oversee solution design, equipment integration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management, and establish standards for automation deployment across sites. Collaborate with engineering, process, quality, and external vendors to translate manufacturing needs into robust automation solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's in electrical, mechanical engineering, or computer science; master's in robotics preferred. 5-10 years of experience in robotics, automation, or vision systems within manufacturing contexts, with proficiency in hardware setup, debugging, and programming. Skills in managing multiple projects, external vendor engagement, and cross-functional collaboration are essential. Work setup involves primarily onsite work with some travel.
