Senior Manager, Publications

Role: Lead clinical publication strategies and oversee scientific publication activities for assigned assets within AbbVie's therapeutic areas. Primary objectives include executing publication plans aligned with strategic communication goals, managing cross-functional publication teams, and ensuring high-quality, timely scientific outputs such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations. Responsibilities encompass leading publication team meetings, coordinating with external vendors, reviewing publication quality, and managing resources and budgets. The role also involves providing managerial oversight for internal and external medical writers, resolving publication issues, and maintaining accurate publication records.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; PhD, PharmD, or Master’s preferred. 4-5 years of experience in medical/scientific publications within the pharmaceutical industry or medical communications, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
