Senior Manager, Product Security

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute strategies to counter emerging threats to Amgen products throughout the regulated supply chain worldwide, particularly diversion, theft, and criminal activity.
- Direct response and remediation activities for global supply chain incidents (including diversion and theft).
- Collaborate across Amgen to ensure the effectiveness and agility of the Product Security program.
- Develop internal policies, procedures, and standards with key stakeholders.
- Work with industry and government agencies to enhance product security and safety.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and support for global supply chain product security initiatives (with Supply Chain Security and Operations).
- Support a cross-functional steering committee (Global Security, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, Corporate Audit).
- Define and operationalize strategies for threat monitoring, incident reporting/response, enforcement protocols, and other key security functions.
- Support development of tools and systems to monitor supply chain security threats.
- Leverage the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
- Provide leadership with metrics, KPIs, and reports on emerging and ongoing threats.
- Create and execute strategies for education/awareness of Product Security issues (internal and external).
- Represent Amgen in industry/government working groups (e.g., PSI, HDA).
- Own the supply chain security audit framework.
- Facilitate proactive and responsive security audits of vendors, suppliers, and business partners.
- Manage the supply chain security audit program with internal stakeholders.
- Assess site risks/vulnerabilities and create response plans to maintain effective security procedures.
- Build relationships with law enforcement and emergency services for communication and response.
- Coordinate with other Global Security directorates (regional and functional).
- Select, train, and manage contract workers/consultants (draft RFPs, recommend, negotiate, review deliverables/invoices).
- Conduct and manage internal and external investigations as needed.

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years of experience in private sector global/corporate supply chain security (preferably biopharma)
OR Master’s + 4 years
OR Bachelor’s + 6 years
OR Associate’s + 10 years
OR High school diploma/GED + 12 years

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of GxP environments (GMP, GDP, etc.).
- Proficiency with security systems and ability to understand/improve/recognize limitations.
- Experience with supply chain security standards/programs (e.g., TAPA, CTPAT).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Travel ~20% (overnight and weekends).
- Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP).
- Strategic, hands-on leader; experience in dynamic, collaborative security environments.
- Ability to engage/influence/inspire teams.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain security protocols/standards/practices.
- Sound judgment; ability to act quickly.
- Ability to adapt to evolving threat landscapes and communicate effectively with leadership.
- Strong organizational/analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to write clear reports.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; consensus-building and presentation skills.
- Self-starter; independent work capability.

- Experience with Incident Management Team and key partner collaboration.
