Role Summary
Senior Manager Procurement - Capital Equipment. Lead the development, execution, and management of integrated category strategies for capital investment, serving as the Category Lead for process equipment for GSK US sites with a focus on Upper Merion, PA and Marietta, PA. Responsible for procurement and contracting strategies aligned with GSK’s capital plan.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Projects Procurement lead
- Accountable for procuring Equipment within scope for all strategic capital projects in the USA
- Lead complex negotiations to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Category Lead
- Define and input into global category strategies to meet business needs and deliver value
- Implement the strategy in the USA to support large strategic projects and site projects
- Foster internal collaboration with senior stakeholders, site and global engineering teams, to achieve Capex objectives and ensure global deployment of strategies
- Deliver high-quality, compliant, timely agreements with clear ROI
- Ensure effective contract management and proactive corrective actions
- Oversee a robust Supplier Relationship Management program with strategic and key suppliers
- Streamline supplier base by prioritizing preferred suppliers
- Conduct external benchmarking to align with market standards
- Generate value in quality, delivery, safety, and cost aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, or Engineering
- Required: 10+ years of procurement experience across category management, market analysis, sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management
- Required: Experience in Capex projects and equipment; understanding of technical categories in capital projects (building services, process/biotech equipment, contractors)
- Preferred: Experience in Pharma/Life Science
- Preferred: Lean / Six Sigma tools experience
- Preferred: Strong business acumen, analytical and financial skills
