Role Summary

Senior Manager, Procurement. The Procurement Leader plays a key role in the Global Supply Chain team, overseeing materials (direct and indirect), services, and support across all sites. Responsible for NPI make-vs-buy recommendations with cross-functional teams and ensuring new material masters and outside service purchases are set up with appropriate lead times, safety stocks, standard costs, and replenishment parameters, with proper demand planning in MRP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of raw materials, finished goods, and outside service providers in alignment with Demand, Supply, and Manufacturing site needs and lead-times.
  • Accountable for direct and indirect spend category management for Anika franchises.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize cost and maximize customer service.
  • Train, develop, and lead the procurement team.
  • Establish procurement KPIs for direct and indirect spend and track monthly performance to goal.
  • Optimize procurement practices to minimize backorders and service interruptions, while ensuring E&O is not increased.
  • Work with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Legal on NPIs as POC for Supply Agreements.
  • Identify preferred suppliers for direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Regulatory to define sourcing strategy matrix for core spend categories.
  • Facilitate alternate, redundant suppliers for critical materials as defined by Ops leadership; execute other BCP activities when redundancy is unavailable.
  • Monitor global social, economic, and political climates to mitigate supply risks.
  • Develop/update Supplier Code of Conduct with ESG concepts as strategies evolve.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within control areas and supporting processes; implement lean inventory principles where applicable.
  • Provide additional support to Contract Manufacturers for risk mitigation and future opportunities.
  • Lead the supplier Quarterly Business Review process (QBRs) to review On Time Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Service levels.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Leadership across multiple sites and regions as determined by the Operations Leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in Supply Chain, Planning, and Procurement
  • Proven success managing onsite and remote teams; international purchasing experience preferred
  • Team leadership experience
  • Global Supply Chain experience
  • SAP experience required

  • Strong communication and follow-up to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Numerical problem-solving; ability to derive key points from data
