Role Summary

Senior Manager, Process Engineering - Payroll leads the design, optimization, and implementation of global payroll processes across international operations. Responsible for ensuring payroll systems are efficient, compliant, and scalable to deliver timely and accurate compensation worldwide. Collaborates with cross-functional partners to harmonize workflows, drive automation, and enhance the employee experience, with a focus on continuous improvement and consumerized processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead End-to-End Payroll Process Design: Analyze current global payroll workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for standardization; design streamlined, compliant, and scalable payroll processes.
  • Drive Process Optimization and Automation: Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance payroll system efficiency; identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual intervention and accelerate processing times.
  • Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with People Services, People Technology & Experience, Centers of Excellence, and external vendors to implement new payroll solutions and ensure seamless system integration across geographies.
  • Ensure Compliance and Internal Controls: Develop and embed robust controls to meet internal policies, SOX requirements, and country-specific legal standards, safeguarding data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support Payroll Process Implementation: Assist in rollout of newly designed payroll processes, providing training, documentation, and change management guidance to internal teams and end users.
  • Leverage Data and Analytics: Work with analytics teams to collect and interpret payroll data, develop KPIs and dashboards to measure process effectiveness and drive data-driven improvements.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Regularly review payroll operations, solicit feedback, and implement best practices to maintain payroll excellence worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in process design/redesign and change management (5+ years).
  • Solid technical skills and understanding of systems architecture of Workday, ServiceNow, Payroll, and related platforms.
  • Experience with quality management, process simulations, and creating detailed standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis with the ability to leverage HR metrics and analytics tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Strong project management abilities with experience planning, executing, and monitoring projects within timelines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in process design and documentation.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification, desired.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations Management, or relevant field; or 7+ years of relevant work experience.
